Fruitfulness in running waters

Psalm 74

2 Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt. 3 Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary. 4 Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs.
5 A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees. 6 But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers. 7 They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground.

13 Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons (behemot) in the waters.
14 Thou brakest the heads of leviathan (crocodile) in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
15 Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers.

1. LEVIATHAN ROBS THE FRUIT!

1. One of the reasons we don’t see more people saved in the Church and in the cells is because of demonic influence in the midst of God’s people. In the book of Psalms Asaph is remembering the Lord of what is going on and he is praying for the deliverance. He says that the enemy has done wickedly in the Sanctuary and that those enemies roar in the midst of the congregation. In verses 5 and 6 the Bible says on another translation that the superior entrance of the sanctuary is destroyed with axes and that the work of the enemy is to pull down the dwelling place of the Name of God

2. We can understand that the enemy doesn’t want us to be fruitfull and the Bible shows also in this Psalm that the Lord is able to brake the heads of the dragons and also the head of Leviathan into pieces. The Bible also says that the Lord will give those heads so the people of the desert will eat them and as a consequence we can see a flooding in the rivers that once where dry.

3. The Bible refers to Dragons (water monsters) and Leviathan (Crocodiles). These are demonic powers that live in swamps. As I was traveling in Louisiana, USA I heard someone talking about the swamps they have there and they wher saying that where there is no renewal of waters there are swamps and this is the place where all sorts of snakes and alligators live. In the Bible the crocodile is called Leviathan and we now that this is one of the most powerfull families of demons in the spiritual realm.

The main Spirit operating under this cast of demons is Pride. Here are some of the Manifestations of the Spirit of Leviathan:

1. Anger

2. Anti-submissivness

3. Arrogancy

4. Boasting

5. Cursing

6. Disobedience

7. Ego

8. Independence

9. Manipulation

10. Mockery

11. Prejudice

12. Rage

13. Rebelion

14. Selcentered; Self-exaltation; Sel-promotion

15. Unwilling to admit wrong; unwilling to apologize; unwilling to change

16. Vanity

17. etc.

2. THE REVIVAL ECO-SYSTEM
Job 41 (Amplified)
1CAN YOU draw out the leviathan (the crocodile) with a fishhook? Or press down his tongue with a cord?
2Can you put a rope into his nose? Or pierce his jaw through with a hook or a spike?
3Will he make many supplications to you [begging to be spared]? Will he speak soft words to you [to coax you to treat him kindly]?
4Will he make a covenant with you to take him for your servant forever?
5Will you play with [the crocodile] as with a bird? Or will you put him on a leash for your maidens?
6Will traders bargain over him? Will they divide him up among the merchants?
7Can you fill his skin with harpoons? Or his head with fishing spears?
8Lay your hand upon him! Remember your battle with him; you will not do [such an ill-advised thing] again!

1. Leviathan is a powerfull cast of demons that has to be attacked with prayer and fasting. In the book of Job also tells us that we cannot defeat Leviathan on our own. The Lord has to do it for us!

2. Another thing that I’ve discovered about Leviathan is that he doesn’t like fresh waters. This will make him run to another swamp. It is our responsibility to have the fresh waters of the Holy Spirit running in the Congregation!

3. We need to create a “REVIVAL ECO-SYSTEM”. The only way to change a swamp into a fertile land is to dry out the swamp completely and afterwords we need to make sure that we have running waters

3. THE KEY TO DEFEAT LEVIATHAN AND BRING REVIVAL IS FRUITFULNESS AND RUNNING WATERS!

Psalm 1
1 BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.
2 But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.
3 And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].

In verse 3 says shows streams of water. Leviathan cannot live by the streams of water. Prosperity will come to the person who has the roots close to the stream!
1- Dont walk in the ways of the World.

• We need to be sanctified and separated from the ways of the World.

2- Don't Stand in the sinners walk

• Relationships and ties to the world need to be severed. Specially romantical involvment with people that are not saved.
3- Don't seat with the scornfull and mockers

• This has to be with people that are negative, contrary, critical or sarcastic about the vision. It says seat because they are sitted on their back end and they don't do nothing. When they can do what you are doing then they can speak until then don't allow them to speak.

• Faith can be cancelled by words of doubt.Don't let your twelve seat around with critical people.
If a person is not sanctified they cannot be fruitfull.

4. THE TEMPLE HAS TO BE A PLACE OF LIVING WATERS

Ezekiel 47
1THEN HE [my guide] brought me again to the door of the house [of the Lord--the temple], and behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the front of the temple was toward the east; and the waters came down from under, from the right side of the temple, on the south side of the altar.

2Then he brought me out by way of the north gate and led me around outside to the outer gate by the way that faces east, and behold, waters were running out on the right side.

9And wherever the double river shall go, every living creature which swarms shall live. And there shall be a very great number of fish, because these waters go there that [the waters of the sea] may be healed and made fresh; and everything shall live wherever the river goes.
10The fishermen shall stand on [the banks of the Dead Sea]; from En-gedi even to En-eglaim shall be a place to spread nets; their fish shall be of very many kinds, as the fish of the Great or Mediterranean Sea.
11But its swamps and marshes will not become wholesome for animal life; they shall [as the river subsides] be left encrusted with salt and given over to it.

1. How many of you know that Leviathan cannot dwell in the temple? This is because of the living waters. Where the water runs there is no proper eco-system for an alligator.

2. Verses 9 and 10 speak about a “Miraculous catch” and a multitude of fish.

3. By other hand verse 11 says that all the swamps will be taken care when we encrusted them with salt. The crocodile cannot live where salt is. Jesus said that we are the salt of the earth and the way to produce it is sanctification.

5. WE NEED TO CONTINUOUSLY YIELD A FRESH CROP
Revelation 22
1THEN HE showed me the river whose waters give life, sparkling like crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb
2Through the middle of the broadway of the city; also, on either side of the river was the tree of life with its twelve varieties of fruit, yielding each month its fresh crop; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing and the restoration of the nations.
1. We can see that in the next order of things we have the Government of 12. The tree of life gives a non-stop new crop every month.

2. Some people are fruitfull when they are saved but litle by little they go from the running waters to a confort zone that may become a swamp. Suddenly they start to be attacked by the enemy and istead of fruitfulness they manifest the work of Leviathan (the Crocodile).

3. If you have pride in you life let me tell you that it is a consequence of running away from the main stream of the river. In Ezekiel the angel lead the prophet to the right place of the river wish is the main stream! You became a swamp and it’s time to deal with the situation!

4. Some people are unfruitfull and some rest on the fruits of the past but let me tell you that if your tree is not producing the Lord will cut it and plant a new tree in your old spot!
Ester 4:14
14 For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance shall arise for the Jews from elsewhere, but you and your father's house will perish. And who knows but that you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this and for this very occasion?

CONCLUSION
-Altar call for repentance and Deliverance

What (not) to wear

Isaiah 61:10

I am overwhelmed with joy in the LORD my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom in his wedding suit or a bride with her jewels. *(NLT)

Introduction

A TV Show called “What Not To Wear”. The reality show premise is simple: friends and family members nominate a candidate that they consider poorly dressed and ask the show to make over the "fashion victim." Fashion Police Stacy London and her partner, Clinton Kelly ambush the candidate and make them an offer-- they are given a $5000.00 budget for a new wardrobe, which they must purchase in New York City boutiques over the course of two days, but only on the condition that they allow Stacy & Clinton/ Wayne to critique, and in most cases throw out, their existing wardrobe.

We all have a spiritual wardrobe that is sometimes full of the wrong garments. Today we will learn what is in fashion in heaven… and instead of “What NOT to wear we will learn what TO wear.

A. THE ROBE OF DESTINY

Genesis 37:3
3 Now Jacob loved Joseph more than any of his other children because Joseph had been born to him in his old age. So one day he gave Joseph a special gift--a beautiful robe.
1. Joseph received a mantle with many colors. This mantle represented his destiny and was a special token of the father’s love

2. The mantle of destiny will cause envy in others. In the spirit realm we all received this same mantle from our Father in heaven and Satan will try to move people around us to rob us from our call.

1 Kings 19:19
So Elijah departed thence and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and ELIJAH PASSED BY HIM, AND CAST HIS MANTLE UPON ELISHA.
3. The Robe of destiny comes from God but he will use people to pass it on to us. At this time the mantle of Elijah touched Elisha. Years latter Elijha was taken to heaven (2 Kings 2:8) and he finally received the mantle of destiny.
B. THE CLOTHES OF INTEGRITY

1. Let’s come back to the story of Joseph. His brothers removed his mantle and sold him as a slave. They took the mantle of destiny and sprinkled it with the blood of a goat.

2. Joseph was sold to a man called Potiphar and the Lord was with him. Potiphar’s wife was an adulterous woman and wanted to have sex with Joseph. One day she grabbed him and tried to force this relationship.

Genesis 39: 12
And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.

3. Joseph ran way leaving his shirt on her hands. That shirt was used to accuse Joseph of an attempted rape. In the spirit however that shirt represented Joseph’s integrity.

4. Integrity is what you do when nobody else is seeing you. Joseph had the opportunity of sexual pleasure and personal satisfaction but he decided that he would not commit a sin against his master.

Integrity gains strength by use!

C. DRESSED WITH ROYAL GARMENTS - DIGNITY

Genesis 41:41
41 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.
42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;

Joseph used 3 different garments

1. The first one was given by the father (a figure of our Pastor)

2. His master, the one who made him ruler over his estate and inheritance, gave the second robe to Joseph (A figure of our Leader)

3. The third was given by the King (God’s figure)
Mantles are symbols of authority and we need to discern the times and the seasons to wear them. As you serve the Lord at church you receive the mantle from the pastor but sometimes there are circumstances or even people around us that will try to remove it. If we keep our integrity as leaders and learn to be faithful to our leadership people around us may even criticize us but God is the one who promotes us. God can change your destiny in one single day just like he did with Joseph.

Illustration

There is a mantle of righteousness that comes with forgiveness is made of vertical and horizontal threads. The vertical threads are the relationship between us and the Lord, representing our restored relationship. Horizontal threads are the relationships we have with others, established by our forgiving one another. It is not possible to have a lasting garment made of just vertical threads, nor is such a garment useful if there are only horizontal threads. Our mantle can only be fashioned when both types of threads exist
CONCLUSION

When Jesus entered in Jerusalem the people did something amazing.
Luke 19:36
Then the crowds spread out their coats on the road ahead of Jesus.

This was an act of submission before the King. These people did the right thing with their garments but they were not able to keep up with their vow.

There are 3 Things that can take away your Mantle

1. Yourself

2. The Spirit of Religion

3. The Devil
In Luke 15 Jesus told the story known as “The Prodigal son”. It talks about a young man that left the father’s house dressed as a prince. He took his inheritance and bought many new clothes and spent the money in all the pleasures the world has to offer. After the fortune was spent he ended up dressed as a beggar, sleeping with pigs. As he realize his mistake and returned to the father.
Luke 15:22
“But his father said to the servants, ‘Quick! Bring the finest robe in the house and put it on him. Get a ring for his finger, and sandals for his feet.

The father did restitution and dressed him with the finest robe in the house
